As a photographer who absolutely loves architecture and historic estates, Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, New York was such a dream to photograph at. This iconic Hudson Valley wedding venue combines beautifully grand architecture, manicured gardens, and historical allure, making it the perfect location for Alexa and Girault’s romantic, garden party inspired evening.
Alexa got ready just steps from the rose garden, which was in its second bloom of the summer (lucky us!!). She and Girault shared an emotional first look among the roses before we moved through the grounds for portraits—photographing in the rose garden, beneath the sweeping willow tree, and in front of the mansion itself before guests arrived.
Their outdoor ceremony took place with Lyndhurst Mansion as the backdrop, with vows that had everyone tearing up. Alexa and Girault met at summer camp, and that forever-young kind of love showed up in every part of the day.
After the ceremony, we were escorted into the portrait room, where the light completely stopped me in my tracks. Sunlight poured through the windows in a way I’ve never seen before, creating some of my favorite wedding portraits of the entire day and truly showcasing why Lyndhurst Mansion is such a stunning wedding venue to photograph. Easily my favorite images from the day!
Their reception went late into the night, with guests filling the dance floor until the very last dance. Party on, Alexa and Girault, and congratulations!!
