I don’t typically photograph (or even head out towards) Long Island, so when I say I couldn’t pick my jaw up from the floor while I was driving out to The Sound View, I mean it. Rolling vineyards, farm houses, and U-pick lavender fields. It made me miss Upstate New York (and like, real, Finger Lakes Upstate, not Hudson Valley Downstate Upstate).
Deirdre and Michael, after shifting their original plans a few times, decided to have a beautiful elopement ceremony at the Sound View. The pandemic has not made wedding planning easy and Deirdre and Michael approached their changing plans with so much positivity. While we were in the process of planning, they told me that their happiness is not in material things or exotic places, and the most important thing to them was just being together. We spent about two hours together, capturing their first look, ceremony, and some portraits before they headed off to a lovely dinner with their ~20 guests.
