I could not have asked for a better way to close out my 2020 season. Elopements have been such a source of joy for me over the last year and working with Lily and Erin was no different. I was so excited to spend Christmas Eve photographing and celebrating with them. Lily told me they were planning on renting a checker cab for the afternoon to drive us around and take photos and omg, it was so much fun. Photographing on Christmas Eve meant that the West Village cobblestone streets were entirely ours to create some of my favorite images from the year for them.
After portraits and four years of waiting for the wedding ceremony of their dreams, we headed back to Lily and Erin’s hotel room at the High Line Hotel for their intimate ceremony where were joined by their officiant and best friend Zach, and his partner. Erin and Lily’s families joined us over facetime while the two exchanged the loveliest vows, sprinkled with little nods to their original wedding plans in Mexico City. Afterwards, we popped some champs and cut the cake that Erin whipped up for them the previous day (baker skills!!!). Cheers, Lily and Erin!
